Launched in 2005 by the Coalition for Music Education, Music Monday is the world's largest single event dedicated to raising awareness for music education. It is a chance to highlight the importance of music education in our schools, and to acknowledge the deep impact that these programs have both in our students' lives and in our society as a whole.
At Royal Oak School, we will begin our celebration with a line dance to Paul Brandt's song, Alberta Bound, and then each grade group will share their own piece with the other students. Finally, we will wrap up the festivities with a final piece in which we will all unite our voices in song!
